V. We adore Thee O Christ, and we praise Thee
R. Because by thy holy Cross thous hast redeemed the world.
Leaving the house of Caiphas, where he had been blasphemed, and the house of
Herod, where he had been mocked, Jesus is dragged before Pilate. his back torn
with scourges, his head crowned with thorns; and he, who on the last day will
judge the living and the dead, is himself condemned to a disgraceful death.
V. It was for us that thous didst suffer, O blessed Jesus, it was for our sins
thou wast condemned to die. Oh, grant that we may detest them from the bottom of
our hearts, and by this repentance obtain thy mercy and pardon.
R. I love you Jesus, my love above all things, and I repent with my whole
heart at having ever offended you. Never permit me to separate myself from you
again. Grant that I may love you always and then do with me what you will.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdome come, Thy
will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and
forgive us our tresspasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead
us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb - Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray
for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the
beginning, is now and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
V. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in
peace.
R. Amen.
